Living Free Physically, Emotionally, Mentally & Spiritually

What is my purpose?  Why am I on this planet?  Questions I ask myself often and I'm finding out that I'm not the only one.  Not that I really believed that I was, however it seems when I'm going through a difficult time in my life, or maybe a life changing time in my life, I seem to always think that I'm alone and that no one has experienced this situation quite like I am.  It is true since we are all unique individuals but if I'm reading a book to find the answer, then apparently someone else has experienced something similar.  How many of you reading have already had this great revelation?  Good for you!  Seriously, I do mean that with the utmost sincerity.

I just met with an old friend who is basically in the same situation in her relationship as I am in mine.  I have to say I was amazed at the amount of similarities.  Other than a medical condition - identical.  The difference is how we are dealing with it and why we will make the decisions we do.  I am more focused on spiritual truths from different masters where she depends solely on the bible.  My belief is that there were many masters who walked this earth; Jesus was just one of them.  Lao Tzu, Buddha, and even Dr. Dyer give me quite a bit of inspiration daily.

I am a reader.  I like to get info from a real life book.  Hold it in my hands.  I just love it, plain and simple.  EBooks work well for passing on information economically.  I use both.

I just started reading a book by Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets.  He brings up some really good things to think about when it comes to living free.  I'll divulge more thoughts on this topic after I've taken in more.  Good read if you are up to it.

"I've found that my perceptions are constantly changing.  This also changes what I stand for and what I am willing to be and do.  I take great comfort in this and realize that by doing so, I am embracing change like never before."

Unfortunately, this doesn't always make people in my life comfortable or happy.  They seem to be content and I am not.  I am always open to integrating, holding and assimilating the energies of change.  Others seem to be deflecting and holding on to what they are used to.  It makes for a certain detachment in relationships.  Not detachment in the essence of no longer loving someone but of no longer depending on them for like energy.  Change.  Mentally free from the judgment of others.  This is huge when you think about it.  No longer allowing guilt or any emotion to bind me to someone or something.  Mental Freedom.  This will likely result in Physical freedom as well but I'll cross that bridge later.  Just for the record, I will not burn it, just cross it.

I'm not real sure how to touch on spiritual freedom.  I am more inclined to move towards all things spiritual so I can better understand the questions located at the beginning of this post.  What is my purpose?  Why am I on this planet?  Still don't those answers so I'll get back to you soon.

Ready, Set, wait.... Go!

Greetings to the online world of the written word.  Today I've not only made the decision to start leading a more simple life, I'm actually doing something about it.  Finally!  No more waiting, thinking about it, talking myself out of it, nothing!  Game on!

I have to admit that I do have my reservations as I've never fashioned myself as a writer, author or otherwise.  Other than a very occasional letter to a friend or family member (pre-email days) my writing consisted of the least that was required to get a passing grade in high school.  That's all that I did and most of the time I got the passing grade.  I write like I talk.  It worked then and it will work now.  You can grade me if you want and point out grammer or spelling mistakes but please be warned that I didn't care much for that in high school.  Pretty safe to say that I don't really care for it now.  My belief is that a grammer correction by a reader says a lot more about the reader than it does about the person posting the error.

What is my plan, you ask?  It is this: to follow the suggestions of a few bloggers I read.  Everett Bogue has an enjoyable read at Far Beyond The Stars.  He leads a minimalist life where ever he happens to be.  I admire what he is doing and would love to follow in his footsteps starting about a month ago.  He's the only one I'm going to mention right now as I've been reading his post much more than the others and I will only recommend what I know.

I'm sure I'll add more to this list later but here is my Simple Life - Defined.
What do I call a simple life?
1.    Work online from where I am.
2.    Be detached from material things.
3.    Meditate daily - at least once a day.
4.    Be happy and shine that happiness on others.
5.    Change diet to Raw only (80% to start) - Vegan too.
6.    Practice healing energy modalities.  Reiki, Magnified Healing, Healing Touch, etc.
7.    Enjoy each day because I love what I do.
8.    No stresssing about income, others actions, politics, religion, etc.
9.    Expect no less than to be positive at all times
10.  Love and be loved.

My plan is document my travels down this road giving you a glimpse of where I am on any certain day and where I'd like to be.  I will share my struggles, successes, failed attempts (if any) and thoughts.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts, ideas and questions.  Now let's get going!

Peace
